• OutboxProcessorListener events are emitted before the transaction commits; metrics over-count on commit failure

• Postgres: TIMESTAMP WITHOUT TIME ZONE + java.sql.Timestamp stores JVM-local time; mixed-TZ fleets/DST corrupt ordering, lag, purge

  bug

• ExposedTransactionRunner: Exposed's default 3x retry re-runs claim+delivery on SQLException, multiplying duplicate deliveries

  bug
softwaremill/okapi#134 · Filter by author rawo opened on Nov 2, 2026

• Delivery I/O runs inside the claim transaction: pool starvation, idle-in-transaction kills cause infinite redelivery, MVCC bloat

  enhancement
softwaremill/okapi#133 · Filter by author rawo opened on Nov 2, 2026

• Scheduler processes one batch per worker per tick: default throughput capped at <10 msg/s, backlog grows unbounded

  bug
softwaremill/okapi#132 · Filter by author rawo opened on Nov 2, 2026

• No retry backoff: default config dead-letters every pending message after ~6s of downstream outage

  bug
softwaremill/okapi#131 · Filter by author rawo opened on Nov 2, 2026

• One oversized/invalid last_error rolls back the whole batch: delivered entries revert to PENDING and are redelivered forever

  bug
softwaremill/okapi#130 · Filter by author rawo opened on Nov 2, 2026

• MySQL: processor claim gap-locks okapi_outbox under REPEATABLE READ, blocking every publish() for the duration of delivery
