Installed with Homebrew? Uninstall with Homebrew too. Homebrew keeps its own record of the install, and moving the app to the Bin does not clear it, so brew still lists Diff Bro as installed. brew uninstall --cask diff-bro clears that record even after the app is gone. Add --zap to remove your library as well.

The same record is why brew upgrade stops with "It seems the App source '/Applications/Diff Bro.app' is not there" after the app was deleted by hand: an upgrade moves the old app out first. Clear the record with brew uninstall --cask diff-bro, then install again.

Builds are not yet signed, so Windows and macOS warn the first time you open the app — see packaging.

Private by design
