Hi, I'm Hans Kuijpers 👋

Frontend developer at HKweb in Eersel, the Netherlands. I build fast, accessible frontends for Joomla, Magento (Hyvä) and Craft CMS, for my own clients and, since 2014, as a freelancer for Perfect Web Team. Modern CSS is my favourite tool. I made my first website in 1995; HKweb has been around since 2005.

Joomla extensions I maintain

Free and open source, kept up to date for Joomla 5 and 6:

  • Google Tag Manager: GTM with Consent Mode v2, a native cookie consent banner and Google tag gateway support
  • ImageKit: images through the ImageKit.io CDN with automatic srcset and WebP/AVIF
  • YouTube: privacy-friendly YouTube embeds that load only after a click
  • Error 404: custom, multilingual 404 pages that can't be deleted by accident
  • Sanitize filename: clean, lowercase filenames on upload
  • Max size: resize images that are too large on upload

Issues and pull requests are welcome.

Talks

  • Template overrides and JLayouts (workshop), JoomlaDagen 2019
  • Bootstrap 3 in Joomla, JoomlaDagen 2015
  • Site speed optimisation, Joomla World Conference 2012
  • Magento theme: set the basics right, Meet Magento 2012
