djdembeck/README.md

Hi, I’m David.

I’m a software engineer at Laxamentum Technologies, building software that fixes the things other people have learned to work around.

I founded and build AudiobookDB, a community-maintained audiobook catalog in public beta. My work spans the data model, API and SvelteKit frontend, including catalog search and tools for contributors to propose additions for editorial review.

How I build

I direct AI agents when building software and check their work against what I intended, including trying interfaces on a phone.

I’m a maintainer on AxonHub, an open-source LLM gateway. Recent public work includes a Go and SvelteKit rewrite of Bragibooks, improvements to my GPU-aware LLM router, and a dashboard redesign for Annalist merged into the development branch. I use oh-my-pi to direct coding agents and Mira for AI code review. I use self-hosted Forgejo daily and have contributed Forgejo support to Mira, robomp, and Kodus.

A little more about my setup

I favor privacy and speed, gravitate toward open-weight model families such as DeepSeek, GLM, Qwen, and Kimi, and use local inference.

For cloud inference, I use NeuralWatt, Synthetic, and NanoGPT (referral links).

Away from the keyboard, I ride a Kawasaki ZX6R or ZX10R when the weather cooperates, and hang out with my dog, Leah.

If you’re building thoughtful software or working on audiobook metadata, I’m glad to talk.
