Comment thread README.md
Once the script is completed, not only all the SUTs will be available under the `dist` folder, but also all the _driver_ executables for _EvoMaster_.
_White-box_ testing: after `scripts/dist.py`, run `scripts/dist.py --evomaster`.
This builds only the external _driver_ executables for _EvoMaster_ (no APIs) and copies `evomaster-agent.jar` into the `dist` folder.
It requires the _EvoMaster_ version declared in `scripts/build/.env` to be installed in your local `~/.m2` (e.g., with `mvn install` in _EvoMaster_), as `~/.m2` is mounted into the Docker builds.

to avoid this possible manual step, could we do something like:

  • adding an explicit module that has a dependency to the agent
  • "mvn install" on that module, as part of dist.py, would force downloading it into .m2 cache
  • build it before copy the agent to dist
  • when doing version.py, make sure to update version of EM in that module

what you think?

@arcuri82 before doing anything, what do you think about publishing EvoMaster snapshots to a snapshot repository? Would you consider that, or should I work around it on the WFD side?

@omursahin now I remember why it was not trivial, and I did not do it before... there is the issue with snapshot dependencies :(
let's skip it for now. will go back to it in future when we update how we handle white-box experiments
