Changing a numbered page under DbProvider now moves the existing live-query Collection. Eligible offset/limit changes retain its compiled plan and source subscriptions. This fixes the adapter restriction in #2345 and extends the #2316 page contract to React Suspense and Svelte with a DbClient.
The page remains part of the query key. Applications no longer need the manual setWindow workaround from the issue:
useLiveQuery({queryKey: ['orders',page],query: (q)=>q.from({order: orders}).orderBy(({ order })=>order.id).limit(20).offset(page*20),})
Each independently authored Suspense query now owns its successful Collection. Equal queries can reuse pending work while React retries discarded renders. The retry cache supports adoption before commit. Independent outputs may start separate source acquisitions. Competing ready bindings receive private outputs with copied ready rows. Co-mounted siblings can finish together, and one binding can then change its page without moving another binding. Applications can still share a supplied Collection explicitly. A copied result remains provisional until its private query finishes its first load. If that load fails, the hook discards the copied result and throws to the error boundary. Each private output receives health from its own observer. A peer page request failure cannot become its query-local error.
Client observers follow the requested page's transport identity while their local query Collection remains stable. Old preload and hydration snapshots keep their original page identities. A client change or an incompatible source, plan, or Collection option still requires replacement. Moves respect framework commit boundaries and active Collection publication. A cancelled render keeps the committed page's observer and hydration seed.
Review also found two neighboring gaps. Preact and Svelte now admit initially disabled keyed queries on enablement. A client observer releases its hydration seed when subset work settles without a row or status change.
Explicit query keys now have a documented contract for immutable values. Fresh equal objects retain the authored query. Replace changed nested objects to invalidate on the next render. In-place mutation has no supported behavior. The shared adapter oracle enforces this contract without new production code or hashing.
The final size comparison against 1443dc92e measures 56 fewer gzip bytes and 100 fewer Brotli bytes for the typical React application. The all-exports React package grows by 258 gzip bytes and 207 Brotli bytes. Optional Suspense growth follows the accepted ownership contract. The final oracle fixes change no production code.
🔬 Oracle Coverage
The coverage map names the shared page owner and receiving paths. Shared page laws apply across adapters. React’s lifecycle receiver separately checks its Suspense boundary and health observations. The append-only evidence records commands, traces, counts, review findings, and source hashes.
Law: The maintainer decision extends finite outer-window retention to DbClient and Suspense bindings. Independent query inputs own distinct successful Collections. Transported snapshots preserve their original page identities. Existing disabled-admission, committed-render, and hydration-handoff contracts also apply. Keys are immutable values. Equal values retain authored input, and changed nested values invalidate it.
Reach: Twelve sibling campaigns each run 80 histories. They cover shared boundaries, discarded successful candidates, peer-first commits, source notifications and query-local error isolation. Forty-eight replacement campaigns cross compiler-first, pending-peer-first and post-hook holds. Every mode reaches its declared states. The evidence record retains all preceding React, Svelte and key-identity counts. No oracle run budget decreased.
RED: Extended receivers reject the unchanged parent 1443dc92e. Six of eight JSON page cells fail retention or first-seed lookup. The extended Svelte receiver rejects client retention and stable-key rows. Peer-first React retries reject shared successful outputs. For example: pnpm --filter @tanstack/react-db exec vitest run tests/client-window-oracle.test.tsx -t 'derived/ordinary/provider/both/fixed' --coverage.enabled=false.
GREEN: Final full runs pass 4,855 React tests across 40 files and 542 Svelte tests across 16 files. Both report no type errors. Earlier 4,823-test React totals describe earlier runs, before the later receiving histories. Final targeted recovery, ownership and indexing checks also pass. The final replay infrastructure run passes 130 tests. Explicit React/Svelte typechecks, lint, formatting, package builds, and the size comparison pass. The versioned evidence records exact commands and replay results. Prior Preact and other framework receiving results remain in that record.
Mutant: Reintroduced client exclusions, old page hashes, shared outputs, and missing or premature seed handoff fail the intended comparisons. Lifecycle mutations fail at retry progress, peer ownership, replacement pending, restart pending, and late preload rejection. New typed mutants reject render-time retry eviction, reused resolver tokens, effect-only output ownership, and moving copied seed rows. Each captured lifecycle seed/path has a guarded RED replay and a restored GREEN replay. Two additional typed mutations reject hidden private startup errors and clearing the seed without resetting readiness. Eight typed key-equality mutations fail forty campaign comparisons. The key contract already passes unchanged production. Its RED results calibrate enforcement. Two further typed mutations each fail all 12 sibling campaigns: copying peer health breaks request isolation, and freezing seed health loses source notifications.
Limits: The evidence covers finite query grammars, controlled source/request work, and the named native or settled host cuts. It does not establish native hydration, actual Electric/Start timing, arbitrary concurrent schedules, exact GC deadlines, or the issue's heavy-query timing benchmark. The React client receiver also crosses cancelled offset, limit, and combined moves with held hydration seeds. All 48 receiving campaigns reject render-time observer/hash mutation and pass the existing fix. No oracle run budget decreased.
The high-effort review supplied ten findings. Six are fixed now, one was already fixed, two are refuted by same-path probes, and one follows the approved identity contract. The review amendment preserves every claim, disproof, calibration, and limitation.
The follow-up CodeRabbit review on 2c605f92b found a hidden first-load error under a copied ready result and one prose issue. Both are fixed. The expanded lifecycle receiver rejects the original behavior in all 12 campaigns before the production fix. It also rejects a fix that clears only the seed. The evidence records both rejection schedules, measured reach, and direct RED/GREEN replay.
The second high-effort review contributes three cleanups and repeats one bug already fixed at its reviewed commit. One claim is refuted and five follow approved contracts. The investigation also found a query-local health leak under copied rows. The extended oracle rejects that behavior in all 12 client/key modes before the production fix. The fix removes the peer observer reference. Its own observer now supplies health. The second review audit records every finding, measured reach, discarded-render work and hostile replay.
The final oracle audit closes four enforcement gaps without changing production or model rules. ErrorBoundary comparisons now precede host rereads. Staggered histories prove an actual successful hook return while a peer stays pending. Replacement histories check the unchanged original before its next move. React and Svelte transported histories compare peer keyed maps while held and after local handoff. All receiving modes reach their new states. Five typed fault controls fail at their intended checkpoints. Each captured seed/path has one guarded RED execution and one restored GREEN execution. An independent reviewer verified the diff, reach counts and replay evidence. The versioned record separates generated histories from fixed examples and retains unsuccessful setup experiments.
Process qualification: The original Svelte receiver lacked a typed pre-edit witness. Later typed RED/GREEN calibration does not retroactively satisfy that gate. The evidence record preserves this process gap and all later receiving corrections.

🚀 Release Impact
This change affects published code, and I have generated a changeset.
This change is docs/CI/dev-only (no release).
Patch releases cover @tanstack/db, @tanstack/react-db, @tanstack/preact-db, and @tanstack/svelte-db.
Law: Maintainer decision for #2345 extends finite outer-window retention to
DbClient and Suspense bindings. Independent query inputs own distinct outputs;
transported snapshots preserve page identity. Existing admission and seed
handoff laws also apply.
Reach: Shared framework histories plus React/Svelte client receivers measure
retention, peer isolation and native render cuts. Transport reaches 8 histories
per state/cell; keyed admission 6; observer subset handoff 8. Suspense lifecycle
adds 500 histories across 18 fixed/fresh campaigns.
RED: Extended receivers reject the original client/Suspense exclusions,
shared outputs and keyed seed lookup on base 1443dc9. Commands, traces and
per-path results are in the versioned oracle review record.
GREEN: React 4753, Svelte 538, Preact 260 and core observer neighbors 119 pass.
Explicit types, lint:changed, formatting and package builds pass.
Mutant: Reintroduced reuse exclusions, shared outputs, old page hashes,
premature/missing seed handoff and stale lifecycle errors fail intended
comparisons. Five lifecycle seed/path RED/GREEN pairs have guarded execution.
Limits: Finite controlled histories and named native/settled cuts, not native
hydration, real Electric/Start timing or arbitrary concurrent/GC schedules.
The original Svelte typed pre-edit gate has a documented process gap; later
calibration does not retroactively satisfy it. See the append-only report:

Explanation
[#2345] Requirement: under a DbClient, a limit or offset change in a keyed query must keep one live-query Collection and move its window, as the no-client path does. Evidence at the reviewed head: packages/react-db/src/useLiveQuery.ts removes the former forSuspense || dbClient ? undefined exclusion. The compile callback now passes previousCollection: ownsCollection && instance.client === dbClient ? instance.collection : null, so an owned Collection for the same client is reused. A client-backed window move recreates only the observer, bound to the requested page's queryHash. The Collection stays the same. Replacement still occurs when the client differs or when the query identity changes. The tests packages/react-db/tests/client-window-oracle.test.tsx and window-render-oracle.test.tsx cover provider and explicit-client page moves, offset, limit, combined moves, and cancelled renders. The issue does not make its heavy-query benchmark an acceptance criterion. The PR states it did not run that benchmark. This is a stated limit, not an unmet requirement. The Svelte client-window change extends the same mechanism beyond the React issue. It does not affect this verdict. The PR's other changes are assessed in the out-of-scope check.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the repository template with all three top-level sections present: Changes, Oracle Coverage, and Checklist, plus Release Impact with the changeset box checked and a patch release list. The Changes section clearly explains the motivation and behavior, and it links the fix to #2345 and #2316. The Oracle Coverage section is detailed. It names the coverage-map owner, gives law, reach, RED, GREEN, mutant, and limits sub-items, and links the evidence record. The template's bug-fix guidance asks for the violated law, exercised histories, production paths, observation checkpoints, RED/GREEN results, and remaining limits. Those items are present, though the text is dense and leans on external documents. The checklist item for local tests is left unchecked, but the description states that the affected-package checks ran and that the full monorepo pnpm test was not run. The release impact section is complete. The description is not generic and matches the raw summary's file changes.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
[#2345] requires only DbClient page-window reuse in the React useLiveQuery path. The whole-PR diff still contains changes that the issue does not request: (1) Suspense ownership. packages/react-db/src/useLiveSuspenseQuery.ts adds SuspenseBinding. useLiveQuery.ts removes useLiveQueryForSuspense and the source-qualified suspense collection cache. It adds retry caching, private forks of ready observers, and needsOwnCollection for every Suspense binding. This changes Collection sharing for all Suspense queries. The issue does not mention Suspense. (2) Keyed-query admission on enablement in packages/preact-db/src/useLiveQuery.ts and packages/svelte-db/src/useLiveQuery.svelte.ts. (3) Hydration seed release on loadingSubset:change in packages/db/src/live-query-observer.ts. This is not a page-window behavior. (4) The immutable explicit query-key contract in docs/guides/live-queries.md, docs/framework/react/overview.md, and conformance/window-history oracle histories. The PR states this contract needs no production change. It is not linked to #2345. (5) Oracle evidence and process artifacts, including docs/contributing/oracle-reviews/*.json and the evidence record, oracle-coverage updates, and the lifecycle and retry-ownership oracle suites that cover items 1 to 4. Supporting tests and docs for the React page-window change are in scope. The Svelte DbClient page-window extension is not the basis for this FAIL. The current head still includes items 1 to 5. The previous assessment reached the same result, and no commit removed these changes.
Resolution
Move items 1 to 4 and their tests, docs, and oracle changes to separate pull requests. Each separate pull request must link an active issue that defines its requirement. Keep the React DbClient page-window change in useLiveQuery.ts, its tests, and its direct documentation in this pull request. Remove or split the oracle evidence record and the review manifest so that they cover only the retained changes. Then rerun the React client-window tests for the retained scope.

Clarify the compound phrases in the experiment row.
Cross lagging and ready source Collections and live-row seed mutant are ambiguous and trigger the supplied hyphenation diagnostic. Rephrase them so the states and mutant behavior are explicit.
Proposed wording
-... Cross lagging and ready source Collections. | A live-row seed mutant initially survived. ...+... Cross source Collections in lagging and ready states. | A mutant that refreshes the live-row seed initially survived. ...

Clarify the overlapping fulfilled-startup history.
The totals of six histories per family and 48 histories per campaign are correct. The fulfilled private startup reuses the existing shared-boundary equal-query neighbor. It is not a seventh history. State this overlap so the evidence record describes six distinct histories.

🎯 Changes
Changing a numbered page under
DbProvidernow moves the existing live-query Collection. Eligible offset/limit changes retain its compiled plan and source subscriptions. This fixes the adapter restriction in #2345 and extends the #2316 page contract to React Suspense and Svelte with a DbClient. The page remains part of the query key. Applications no longer need the manual
setWindowworkaround from the issue:Each independently authored Suspense query now owns its successful Collection.
The final size comparison against
