Grab the latest APK from the Releases page and install it on your phone.

Note

YouPipe Music isn't on the Play Store. Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager the first time.

Android Auto: apps from outside the Play Store are hidden in the car until you turn them on. Open Android Auto's settings, tap Version about 10 times, then go to ⋮ → Developer settings → Unknown sources. If YP Music still isn't in the car's launcher, add it with Customize launcher.

🛠️ For developers

Browse, search and account features go through a pure-Dart client for YouTube Music's internal InnerTube API (lib/innertube/). Audio streams are resolved on Android by NewPipeExtractor. Playback runs on just_audio behind audio_service, and the library lives in SQLite via drift.

Architecture and design decisions are in docs/. Read AGENTS.md before contributing.

If YouTube changes break browsing, re-record fixtures and refresh the client version in lib/innertube/clients.dart. If playback breaks, bump the NewPipeExtractor version in android/app/build.gradle.kts first.
