Likelihood lifecycle phase 6d (autolens_profiling#512). The human ruled on 2026-11-02 that gradients get a separate frozen label, day_zero_gradient, leaving the runtime day_zero untouched.

What changes

  • pulse/freeze.py: build / freeze take an optional measurement. When it is set, only the day_zero-stamped records of that measurement are kept: exactly one tag among them, or the freeze is refused (the message names the measurement). The snapshot carries measurement, and verify_one flags any record of another measurement.
  • pulse/cli.py: freeze --measurement M.
  • Without the flag the behaviour is identical. The existing day_zero/lens.json still verifies (check --offline: OK).
  • Docs: REFERENCE.md (frozen snapshots), AGENTS.md command list.

Tests

4 new: the filtered freeze beside the default label, refusal when nothing of the measurement is stamped, verify catching a foreign record, and the CLI path. pytest tests: 380 passed. ruff check and format are clean.

Not in this PR

The actual freeze --instance lens --label day_zero_gradient --measurement gradient --commit <sha> runs once the autolens_profiling gradient ingest (6d step 1) has merged.

Tier: judge. Merge only by the human's /prm.

…nder its own label

`pyauto-pulse freeze --label day_zero_gradient --measurement gradient` freezes
only the gradient records the producer stamped, beside the runtime day_zero
(which stays untouched). The snapshot records `measurement`; `check` enforces
it. Without the flag nothing changes. Likelihood lifecycle 6d,
autolens_profiling#512.
