The hybrid generator combines:

  • 1 jet-enriched PYTHIA8 event containing an antideuteron, generated using ${O2DPG_MC_CONFIG_ROOT}/MC/config/PWGGAJE/pythia8/generator/pythia8_jet.cfg.

  • 4 minimum-bias PYTHIA8 events, generated using ${O2_ROOT}/share/Generators/egconfig/pythia8_inel.cfg.

Since antideuteron production in jets is extremely rare, the original coalescence-based generator was running forever making the simulation-tests failing.

To overcome this limitation, the new generator searches for a final-state antiproton within the specified acceptance ((|eta| < 0.8)) and replaces it with an antideuteron with twice its momentum.
