Changes

  • HTTP errors: preserve the documented explanation for 402 credits_insufficient responses so integrations can explain why a task cannot start. Other error messages and arbitrary response details remain hidden.
  • Skill: explain progress, problems, and next steps in plain language, and provide the task link when the user needs to act on a Pine page.
  • Task control: replace web-only resume guidance with the existing start endpoint, and apply uncertain-result recovery to both start and stop operations. New tasks retain their existing message-driven workflow.

Testing

  • Offline test suite: 283 passed (PYTHONPATH=src python3 -m pytest tests/ -q --ignore=tests/integration).
  • HTTP MockTransport tests cover sync/async credit explanations, malformed messages, and unchanged redaction for other errors.
  • Ruff, Skill validation, and git diff --check passed.
  • Verified that existing session and history models preserve an optional backend message without model changes.

Notes

REST discovery requires the backend public OpenAPI to include the existing start endpoint. Integrations must use this SDK revision to preserve credit error explanations. No live calls or production mutations were performed; behavior in external agents was not tested.
