I’m sharing DALI, an open-source macOS app for sending Mac audio to multiple AirPlay speakers, with individual speaker levels and an optional Chrome video-sync companion.
Vibe-coded slop, but it works.
The aim is a compact way to choose speakers, play system audio or a selected app around the room, and adjust each speaker’s volume. The Chrome companion delays supported web video to follow the room audio.
This is a developer preview for Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 15+. Trying the Mac app currently requires a source build. There is no signed installer or Chrome Web Store listing yet. Automated browser timing tests pass, but physical speaker compatibility and live video sites still need broader testing.
I’d appreciate feedback from anyone with two or more AirPlay speakers, especially on mixed speaker models, reconnects, and whether the setup instructions are clear. Please leave private device names and network addresses out of reports.
